Erik grew up in Wisconsin and later moved to Asheville, North Carolina. He was introduced to Beacon Transitions through a close friend who works in the program, and the mission of supporting neurodivergent young adults quickly resonated with him. After exploring a few different types of work while figuring out his path, Erik found that working directly with people—especially in a supportive, relationship-based environment—felt like a natural fit.
Erik join Beacon in July 2025. At Beacon, Erik enjoys building genuine connections with residents and helping them engage in activities that reflect their interests. Whether it’s video games, sports, outdoor adventures, or shared hobbies, he has a natural ability to make activities fun and welcoming while encouraging residents to explore new experiences and build confidence. Erik is especially skilled at using leisure activities as a way to connect with young adults and support their social engagement and independence.
Erik is known for his calm, empathetic presence and the easy rapport he builds with residents. He values creating an environment where young adults feel comfortable being themselves while developing the life skills and independence that Beacon Transitions is designed to support.
