Eden Witters

Community Living Manager

Eden has been working with individuals on the autism spectrum since 2020, in a variety of behavioral healthcare settings as a direct care worker. She has a background in RBT work, horticulture therapy guiding, wilderness therapy guiding, and residential treatment mentoring. It is her passion and calling to empower others, and she loves coaching others toward meeting their goals. Eden deeply values whole-person wellness and implements her knowledge and practices for wellness in her work with the residents at Beacon.

Eden provides a variety of tools to support residents in finding their path to success, bringing applicable tactics from modalities like DBT, NMT, EFT, motivational interviewing, rites of passage, and conscious-discipline. In her current role at Beacon, she initiates a fresh start to each week to set up the following days for success. She teaches about nutrition as she helps create grocery lists and plan dinners for the week, leads a mindfulness practice each morning, and facilitates structured meetings to plan and organize schedules. Eden also helps residents develop their cleaning, cooking, and hygiene skills.

Eden understands the importance of a strong routine structure to help those on the spectrum get the repetitive practice necessary to master skills of independence. In her approach to this work, she practices patience, systematic organization, and non-violent communication.
