Amanda Hale, MPH
Executive Director | Beacon Transitions – Hendersonville, NC
Amanda has worked within the social services and therapeutic program sector since 2015, primarily serving young adults on the autism spectrum and individuals with developmental differences. She has held roles as a case manager, supervisor, and program evaluator, with her work consistently rooted in improving practices that enhance client safety, health, and overall wellbeing.
Amanda specializes in personalized life skills training, executive functioning coaching, and independent living support within community-based transition programs. Her experience includes developing person-centered support plans, implementing programmatic quality assurance systems, leading staff wellness initiatives, and guiding strategic program development. She is passionate about creating pathways for community integration, employment skill-building, and daily living skills development that empower residents to achieve meaningful independence.
Amanda earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2014) from the University of Colorado Denver and her Master’s in Public Health (2023) from the Colorado School of Public Health.
Before her leadership at Beacon Transitions in Hendersonville, NC, Amanda worked for four and a half years providing one-on-one support to children and adults on the autism spectrum and spent over a decade volunteering at Adam’s Camp in Granby, Colorado — a therapy and wilderness-camp program for children and adults with a range of developmental disabilities. Autism has always been an integral part of Amanda’s personal and professional life—her brother’s experiences on the spectrum have deeply shaped her commitment to autism support and young adult transition work.
In her downtime, Amanda enjoys lifting weights with her husband and father-in-law, creating Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, and painting murals in her home. She also manages the lively “cohort of chaos” that are her three dogs and cat, and enjoys reading fantasy novels during quieter moments.
