Amanda has worked within the social services sector since 2015; predominantly serving adults with developmental disabilities. Amanda has acted as a case manager, supervisor, as well as a program evaluator and planner over this time. Her focus always being rooted in improving practices to support the best possible safety, health, and wellbeing of agency clients. Specifically, Amanda’s experience has been in developing person-centered support plans, programmatic quality assurance practices, person-centered trainings, staff wellness initiatives, as well as program development and strategic planning. Amanda has always been committed to growing her professional skill and obtained a bachelors in psychology (2014) from the University of Colorado at Denver, as well as a master’s in public health (2023) from the Colorado School of Public Health.
Beyond Amanda's social services experience, she also worked for four and a half years as a one-on-one with children and adults on the autism spectrum. She volunteered for a week to two weeks every summer, for twelve years, at a therapy and wilderness camp for children and adults with a range of developmental disabilities. Amanda is also a sister to an awesome brother who is on the autism spectrum. Autism has always been an integral part of Amanda’s life and has fueled her passions for making a positive impact in the lives of others.
In her downtime, Amanda enjoys lifting weights with her husband and father-in-law. Creating Dungeons and Dragon campaigns, and leading others on imaginative quests. She also enjoys reading fantasy and painting murals on the walls of her home. As well as managing the cohort of chaos that are her three dogs and cat.
