Money Management



Almost every resident that has come to Beacon Transitions has needed support in the area of money management. This area is one of the most individualized aspects of our program, because each individual is coming to our program with a different level of executive functioning skills and with a diverse range of math skills.

 

Many of our residents are learning how to balance a checking account or create a savings account for the first time, which is a vital aspect of living independently. Some of our residents also have SSI benefits or other sources of income, which are important for them to maintain. Typically, each resident will work 1:1 with their adviser in creating simple steps towards the best practice of managing their money.
