Beacon Transitions provides opportunities to learn the skills necessary to support independent living. Initially a residential program in Hendersonville, North Carolina, we have now started offering supports to the community at large. We want to be available to serve any person who finds that they need assistance with 1 or more of the 5 areas of independence

Our local supports, which you can read more about here, are offered to individuals and families who live within the Asheville and Hendersonville area of Western North Carolina. We provide services based off of the needs of the individual and their current situation. This can include vocational support, home living support, social skills support or any area that seems to be hindering that person’s progression into successful adulthood.

The residential program, which has four phases, is home to residents from all over the country. We have had families travel from as far away as Canada, and residents whose homes are a stones-throw away in South Carolina. Our residential program is a full service program that provides young adults the opportunity to be completely immersed in learning about becoming an independent, happy young adult.
